Fear: Thoughts Conjured Up by Obama and Martin Luther King Day

Obama Doll near spot MLK was shot

I went to bed last night hopeful and woke up afraid this morning. What changed? Change changed. November 4th was a celebration. That was the day that America immediately began repairing its image in the world. It was also the moment that allowed us to hope for a better future. It was a moment in such stark contrast to any and every moment brought to us by George W. Bush that it made me among so many others shed a tear. But the gravity of the situation we are in hasn’t hit for everyone yet. This morning it hit me.

We are no longer celebrating like we were - at least we shouldn’be. Its time to get back to reality and the reality is frightening. The time since Nov. 4th has gone by so quickly and now its Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Martin Luther is a man I respect greatly. He was a black man who spoke out against oppression at a time when black people were still considered second class citizens. Many don’t realize this. Even I find myself in disbelief sometimes. This was only around 50 years ago. Many people like to talk about it like they talk about the Civil War (A.K.A. the War of Northern Aggression  for you rednecks in denial) or the Revolutionary War - as if it were ancient history. But this sort of thing was going on in the 60’s!

MLK’s dream is being fulfilled every day. This isn’t necessarily all positive, though. The movement Martin Luther King was an integral part of also sparked backlash. There are hateful groups out there who idolize Hitler believing that the “White” race is superior to all others. In most cases like this I would just say “let them believe whatever they want”, but their beliefs aren’t the problem - its their actions. It was a racist who killed the reverent Martin Luther King Jr. A person of low intelligence, filled with fear leading to hate, who has been infected by the propaganda of the white supremacy movement.

These are people who have misplaced anger and fear. Many times something terrible has happened in their lives and their need for an explanation ultimately drives them to believe that a certain race of people are responsible. Speaking of being responsible, these people are anything but.

But this post isn’t about racism as much as it is about Obama. I had to go off on that tangent in order to connect to my next point.

I woke up afraid because of what happened to MLK. While we have come a long way from the 1960’s there are still White Supremacists and just plain racists out there. Some are crazy, and some are perfectly sane but both are capable of ending America’s dream of Hope before it begins. I don’t want to say the word… Assassination.

Assassination is something I fear. Of course there is stepped up security around Obama but all it takes is one bullet.  The fact that the Inauguration is the day after Martin Luther King Day makes me even more nervous. Its this coincidence that could really rile up the crazies. The little hamsters in their brains will start running on the wheel and they’ll muster up just enough brain power to create a thought then pervert that thought into a conspiracy theory. Then the conspiracy theory leads to a justification of the action.

We have to stop ignoring the gorilla in the room. There’s a higher risk of losing this president than any other. I was even a bit scared on election night when Barack was in Grant Park.

I think Obama will be good for this country. I think that race relations will get even better (as in some racists will tone it down and see the light). I think four years of Obama would get more done than sixteen years of Bush. I wish I could have dug into Bush in this post since its his last day but whatever. Lets all appreciate what we have in this new president and hope to God nothing happens to him.

Militant Feminism - The Perversion of the Movement

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

A good liberal wouldn’t write this blog. But I’m not a good liberal. Conservatives (AKA, dumbasses), I am not siding with you either. I have found a happy medium on this subject. Here I’ve gone explaining myself without even telling you what I’m talking about. As you can guess from the blog title today’s topic  is Militant Feminism (sorry guys, I know Wednesday is all about songwriting but I had to get this off my chest. Maybe I’ll write a songwriting blog in the morning. Its 2AM right now).

I met a feminist. Feminism is great. Feminism is most certainly a good thing. But this feminist has taken it too far, and has taken it to heart. She turns everything you say into a slight against women.

Feminism is right to question gender stereotypes. I don’t think a feminist is crazy if she breaks gender stereotypes by not shaving her arm pits or her mustache. And let me make it clear, I am not making fun of feminism here. These things, albeit slightly gross, are part of feminism. I think women shouldn’t have to wear pink and other bright colors. They can wear flannel and work in steel mills and be CEOs and chop wood, play sports and go topless at the beach just like men. That last one does not fit into every feminists definition of feminism but its certainly one I would encourage.

Feminists are all about not being victimized. They hate the idea of women being victims and having to rely on men to rescue them as they do in so many movies, TV shows, and even fairy tales. See: Shrek, Rapunzel, aspects of Sarah Jessica Parker’s character on Sex in the City with Big, and the list goes on.

The feminist I met has taken these tenets to such an extreme that she has gone in a circle and ended up on the wrong side of the issue. I work with this woman. She is a bitch. Plain and simple. Yeah, I know, its not sensitive to feminists to call a woman a bitch. I guess its like calling a black person a nigger. But hey, guys are dicks and assholes, so why can’t a woman be a bitch? I think being called a female dog is better than being labelled as an ugly penis or an anus. But I digress.

This woman (who is constantly PMSing [LOL I keep on saying things that are so antifeminists, but I swear I'm all for it]) seems to end up as a victim every five minutes. While working in the kitchen at my job, people come through with heavy pieces of fryers and ovens that are very hot. Whenever a guy comes through at least one person always says “hot stuff, comin’ through!” and no one takes notice. When a woman comes through the same way the same phrase is spoken by at least one person. When Mrs. Feminist comes through and someone says that, she retorts “It figures you would say that to a female”. That makes me cringe. Fuck you, lady. Get over yourself. No one thinks she’s really “hot stuff”. In fact she is just the opposite. She’s hideous. And your a fuck if you try to say otherwise. If someone is ugly then they’re ugly - and if someone is REALLY ugly then they’re hideous. But back to this woman. She took that little quip so personally. The fact that she took it so personally doesn’t bother me as much the fact that when she asserts her feminism with these quips she says them in a manner that screams “I am educated and in a higher social class than you. You are uneducated white trash that is beneath me”. Someone so much better than the rest of us should be out there running the world, not sitting in a fast food joint unclogging a greasy drain. She needs to get over herself. I’m a smart guy, who has a bright future ahead of me. Once I finish with school I’ll be out there working a well paying job that I enjoy (people in IT tech and other programming type jobs, especially analysts, make pretty good money from what I’ve read). Even as it stands now I’m pretty accomplished. In fact I was just looking at my ACT scores today because I needed them to register for classes and I scored higher than 93% of those who took the test when I did - and thats nationwide. I went to Loyola ( and will be going back). I don’t say this because I want to make sure you know how awesome I am. I want to stress that I could go around with an attitude like hers but I don’t. When I talk to people I always treat them with respect so long as I get it in return. I see people my own age in there who have ended up working for this fast foot place as a career. I don’t think any less of them. These are people like me and everyone’s situation is different. We can’t all be brain surgeons. So why does this woman think she’s so great?

I saw her using a squeegee the wrong way and she was obviously having trouble. I went over to help her. I showed her  a better, more efficient way to get the water on the floor into the drain. Instead of being thankful she took it as an insult to women everywhere. She created a victim of herself. She took what I did as me saying “women can’t squeegee floors right, let a real man do it”. I wasn’t implying a women couldn’t do that job. I was certainly letting her know that SHE, as in this particular person regardless of gender, seemed to suck at what she was doing. I would have done the same to anyone. In fact I ended up correcting lots of people’s mistakes, mostly men’s by the way, because it just happens to be my job. But I’m not an ass about it. I just say something like “Hey, check this out. I’ll show you a faster/better/easier/whatever way to do this”.

Does feminism make you better than others? No. But I think this is a fad in her life. Kind of like how there’s those goth kids in high schools all over America. She wants to be a feminist and in her mind she is in an exclusive club that makes her better than anyone else. She has taken it upon herself to educate us imbeciles on how to treat feminists like her better than everyone else.

She has twisted feminism in the way some Evangelicals have twisted Christianity. When it comes to the other girls (I say girls because many are under 18) she doesn’t look out for them like a good feminist. She stares them down. She has an obvious distaste for them. Because they aren’t feminists like her they are lesser life forms. But rather than take it upon herself to talk to them, befriend them, and then lead them to gender equality in our workplace, she just stares down her nose at them because she wants to be the special one. She believes she is someone with special knowledge. The others can’t know what she knows because then she wouldn’t be better than the others. This is total perversion of feminism. Feminism should be brought to the masses. It should not be forced on them by any means. But the least she could do is let them know what she does. Explain what feminism is all about and tell them by what means feminists hope to gain gender equality.

But she is not a feminist. No. No way. No how. If a real feminist saw her they would be disgusted. She is just a woman who was never popular in high school, has poor social interaction skills, and isn’t very attractive. She perverts feminism in an attempt to make herself feel good about herself. She’s a snotty bitch.

Feminism is a movement meant to advance the cause of gender equality. A good feminist talks to people with respect and educates them on how to be respected as an equal with men. It is definitely not about being better than other people because you are a part of a special club in your mind with secret knowledge only to be imparted upon the truly worthy. Feminism is a cause I support. Being a total bitch in the name of feminism is something I don’t support.

Fuck you, crazy bitch! How do you like that? I called you a bitch!

Is Love Blind?

Friday, January 9th, 2009

Hey everyone. At the time of this writing it is Friday night but this post will appear Saturday afternoon. I got a job so I’m going to be very busy during the next few days.

Today, since Saturday and Sunday are wildcard days, I want to talk about love, relationships and all the sort of stuff that I hate to talk about. I have a character study you might find interesting.

I want to know if love is truly blind. If you are someone who has no problem getting the gorgeous girl and are accusomed to it, can love knock you on your ass and make you change your standars? Or did you just flirt too hard and now you got yourself all hot and bothered?

There are people out there who have the gift of charm. They don’t necessarily use it all the time or on purpose but on the rare occasion they do decide to charm someone purposefully the person being charmed never stands a chance.

I saw this happen today. This guy is usually very reserved and doesn’t go out with the intention of charming anyone. But today he found someone he couldn’t help but put the charm on. And by the way, once he put the charm on not only did his intended “victim” swoon but anyone in his path did as well. It was unbelievable. I observed and studied him very closely to try to figure out how exactly this whole process worked. I believe that when it was all over his charm came back to him with unintended consequences.

He was being trained for a job at the place I now work at. I noticed that when he first came in he wasn’t pleased to be there. He was surrounded by employees who couldn’t have been over 9 years old or so it looked. He had an attitude and became even more smug when he met his supervisor. But then something was triggered in him. All of the sudden it was as if he couldn’t help but try to win over his boss (who wasn’t much older than him if she was at all). He obviously wasn’t trying to make her attracted to him but only wanted to gain favor with her in order to make his time at work a little easier. He obviously got more than he bargained for.

As his boss explained things to him and the other new employees he asked her questions and somehow was able to make it seem as though they were work-related while still extracting personal information from her. It was like he had this all planned out. But he didn’t. It was obvious by the expression that crossed his face for only a split second that some kind of instinct had been activated within him. A latent program for seducing anyone he pleased. Rather than panicking on the inside he decided to go with it, and thats when the trouble started.

Within a frame of a couple of hours he had managed to become as close as two old friends with his boss. She struggled to appear as an authority figure to him and spoke to him as an equal. His charm morphed into subtle flirtation and she responded in kind, getting quite close to him and gazing, not staring or looking, directly into his eyes as she spoke. She would talk with him in a quiet tone, forcing the two of them to get close, seperately from the other trainees yet still right in front of them, often brushing against his leg or touching his arm as she spoke.

She had come in from Florida to help open the new store they worked at and would only be there for a couple of months. She quickly started to move the hours old relationship from an at-work setting to an out of work and personal setting. She tested the waters by asking him what he knew about the Chicago area wanting suggestions and quite obviously hoping he would offer to escort her on a tour of what is arguable the greatest city in America if not the world. They made plans to go ice skating on the frozen over streets once the storm from she learned about on TV arrived.

The two of them had gotten closer than I have ever seen two people get in such a short time. They developed a relationship that showed the maturity of months within hours. When the shift was over and everyone had gone him this guy wasn’t able to leave what happened at work, well, at work. As hard as he tried he couldn’t shake the encounter and brought it with him into his personal life. He was confused. The girl was cute. But she wasn’t what he was used to. She wasn’t that girl in the room that made everyone turn their head and stare. She did have an intangible quality he couldn’t put out of his mind. Her personality shone like the light of a thousand white hot suns and all of the sudden he regretted trying to make nice with his boss.

Sorry for the lame whit hot sun metaphor but I’m tired and can’t think straight. Haven’t slept in a few days plus I’m sick. But anyway, this whole story with this guy begs the question: Is love blind? Obviously it is. Or in this case it is. This is a guy who could have anyone he wanted but was suddenly knocked on his ass by an average, unremarkable but not ugly looking girl with a personality that outshone her appearance by far. This guy has never been shallow. But he has been lucky enough to get girls who are the best of both worlds. He told me that he’s glad she’s only in town for a couple months. He figures that if something develops he has an escape built right into the relationship and if something doesn’t come of this wildly flirtatious encounter then he can put it out of his mind quickly. What I am trying to understand is why he is so confused. He can’t tell me of course. If he could tell me then he obviously wouldn’t be so confused. So what can be the deal? Is it that she’s not America’s Next Top Model? Personally, I think this girl is pretty. There’s nothing ugly about her at all. Maybe he’s just afraid of relationships period. Its been a while for him. Maybe it was how fast the whole thing developed. Or maybe this guy just likes her. Crushes do crazy things to people, especially unintentional ones. Personally, I think it was the crazy flirting that was going on. I mean, I saw him put on the charm but I also saw how surprised he was when she started getting up real close to him in his space. They were talking pretty quietly at times, so quietly in fact that they had to get up right next to each other in order to hear. And the brushing probably didn’t help. I could see how that just knocked him on his ass. Ladies, please understand the power of brushing up against a guy. Especially when you come up to say something to him and you brush your breasts against his arm. I saw that stuff happening and I just laughed inside and rooted for the guy.

What Makes a Racist Tick?

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Obama got elected and on November 5th, 2008 all the major news organizations were flapping their jaw-holes screaming, whispering, talking flatly, uttering, pontificating, blathering, and asking the most retarded question in the history of questions; is America now a post-racial country? NO! No freaking way! Not even close. There are portions of us that are. Mainly liberals (not Democrats, but LIBERALS) and the younger generation. The younger generation being, lets see, I’d say those born between 1975 and now. But the majority of Americans and America in general are racist.

Racism is probably the hardest prejudice we will have to overcome. Even harder to overcome than the prejudice toward homosexuals. Because in America we have something called institutionalized racism. Institutional racism as the name implies is racism that is embedded into public bodies like schools or employment, banks and loan agreements, etc. It is usually very subtle in its instantiation thus no one really sees it and thinks that the “blacks” or “jews” or “gays” or “insert minority here” are just whining. Often times when you hear someone saying that a certain group is just lazy and needs to work hard and stop complaining they are talking about a situation where institutional racism is involved but they don’t see it. For example, when the Social Security Act was passed it excluded domestic and agricultural workers. Big deal right? Thats a small segment of the population right? Well who were/are those workers? They are asian, african american, and mexican primarily. Standardized testing is another example. Minorities don’t score lower because they aren’t intelligent. The tests are biased toward the white middle class. But the average person doesn’t know or doesn’t believe this and this leads to thinking that certain minorities are stupid and/or lazy. This type of racism affects health care and AIDS intervention and services in particular. Minority neighborhoods tend to get less that adequate health care and education leading to more cases of AIDS and other health problems among these groups. Back to education. School funding is tied to property taxes in their surrounding areas. Low income minority areas tend to get older edition worn out books while white middle class neighborhoods get new books. I’ve seen this myself. My high school had the latest edition books every school year. Education funding should be the same for everyone. It is absolutely unjust, not unfair but UNJUST, to give those with more money better education. Education should empower those in poverty to rise out of it but our system in the US promotes the wealthy getting everything they want and more while those who don’t have a lot of money get substandard quality in almost all aspects of public care.

I was with a family member of mine today and as we drove past a black man in the WalMart parking lot (WalMart is a piece of shit corporation too - more on that in another post) he said to me “Why do I not like negroes?” That question bothered me. Because I’ve seen this person interact with black people and befriend some of them in the business he runs. Yet he commonly calls them niggers or negroes and says some pretty derogatory things about them. Why? was the question and I wanted to answer it. I don’t really know. Maybe it was his upbringing. Maybe it was the media. Maybe it is the ignorance to institutional racism or maybe its all of the above. Whatever it is it isn’t right.

There is no reason to hate or even dislike someone based on race gender religious beliefs or sexual orientation. I am even guilty of prejudice at times. But I know why I am. I am aware of how the culture promotes racism so that isn’t it. Its my upbringing. I need to remember my own words in this post and whenever this family member says something racist I need to remember my beliefs and not let myself fall into the trap of blaming the victim.

The United States wanted to put racism behind it on November 5th, but me and others like me won’t let the US declare a false victory. Racism will be stamped out. It will unfortunately take more than a black president to put it behind us but thats okay. I’d rather see it go the right way than to have the media just push it under the rug like they tried the day after the election.

What do you want for Christmas?

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

I feel obliged to write about Christmas today. It is after all Christmas Eve and everyone’s thoughts have turned away from politics, current events, entertainment, music (which is really a part of entertainment), and I’m sure no one except me is thinking about programming. All thoughts are turning instead to Christmas type things - presents, religious traditions, family and friends, how your lights outside keep on going out, etc.

I have two questions for everyone. Leave a comment and let me know:
What are you thankful for this Christmas and what do you want for Christmas?

I have a lot to be thankful for this Christmas. This will be my first sober Christmas in about three years. I recently was lucky to acquire the strength to ask for help in my addiction to heroin. I lost everything to that addiction. My job, money, family, respect, health, and independence all went to hell. I did gain a few things from it though - debt, a felony charge, and a pretty ankle bracelet that alerts the court if I drink. But I can’t complain. I found myself in sobriety and my life is better than it ever was. I believe that to truly be happy you must have the experience of hitting bottom. I am thankful for my sobriety. I am thankful for the fact that my family supports me again.

There are a few things I’d like for Christmas. I’d like to go back to school to study programming. I’d like to get some web space to host my new site. I want more opportunities to perform my music. I love open mic on Wednesdays but I’d like to go back out and perform for paying crowds like I did back three or four years ago before the drugs really took hold. Maybe some recording equipment would be nice as I sold the nice equipment I used to have. A job would be ideal. Especially working for CakePHP. Thats pretty much all I want.

What are you thankful for this Christmas?
and…
What do you want for Christmas?

Let me know.

Merry Christmas,

-Bill

Nancy Goldfarb Thinks (about homosexuality a little too much for a straight person)

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

If you look in my links section you’ll see a link to a blog by a woman by the name of Nancy Goldfarb. She has views that are exactly opposite of my own. But thats no reason not to read her blog. Dissenting points of view are welcome in my world. I probably won’t agree most of the time but I certainly am interested in opposing views.

I commented on one of her articles saying that homosexuality is prevalent in 5% of all populations - animal and human. This is her response.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality. It hurts no one. Gays want the same rights every other minority has been afforded and now there is a group of people (mostly Christians unfortunately) who want to take rights away from them. The nation’s constitution as well as every state’s constitution has only afforded people rights. Never until prop 8 has a constitution actually taken rights away from a protected group. And this is being done in the name of religion and this is being done for a variety of reasons. To defend marriage. So that children won’t be confused. Because someone cherry picked passages from the bible that they interpret to mean homosexuality is… bad for lack of a better word.

If a gay couple’s marriage somehow harms your marriage then you have another problem altogether. This marriage defense is total bull. The definition of marriage has changed many times over the course of human history. It used to be acceptable to buy your wife. It was common at one time to marry many wives. Marriage itself didn’t come about until middle ages. And these days marriage is not a religious practice. Its part of the laws of the state. You can have a priest marry you live on TV during the super-bowl with millions of witnesses and it wouldn’t count. You have to file the correct papers with the state. So since this actually a legal argument its clear that gays should be afforded the right to marry. But the anti-gay movement wants to define the argument in religious terms because they get more traction that way. Don’t be fooled. As long as you have to go into city hall to get married its a legal matter. Now as far as I know the law applies to those who are gay, straight, black, or white. If gays can’t get married under the law like anyone else then no one should be able to get married. These people who rail against gay marriage are just like those in the past who were against blacks and whites (or even asians, latinos, or whomever) getting married. Its straight up prejudice and there’s no excuse for it. The religious argument against gay marriage is crap as well. Your beliefs do no give you the right to persecute a group of people. Face it. Gays cannot and will not be “cured”. They are all around you. They work with you, ride the subway with you, they are customers, employees, brothers, sisters, musicians, actors, newspaper writers, entrepreneurs. They are everywhere and you probably interact with one or more homosexuals every day without knowing.

If one were to think rationally they would come to the conclusion that homosexuality is in no way threatening to anyone or any institution. I think that those that are so passionate about taking away homosexuals’ right to marry should find out what being gay is all about. These people are fed stereotypes and then form negative opinions of homosexuality. Let me clear a few things up. I’m not gay, but I lived with a gay roommate in college and did some research.

Homosexuals are no more promiscuous as heterosexuals
Gays are not trying to indoctrinate your children
Homos generally don’t go around doing drugs and sharing needles
etc..

I don’t know what else to say except that these are people just like you and me. You wouldn’t know they were gay unless you asked.

This hatred is irrational. This idea of extending every right to every group then extend all right except the right to marry to homosexuals is irrational. Take the time to find out the truth behind the stereotypes.

I see this hate speech almost every day. Its sad. I feel so bad that people go around hating other people because they don’t understand them or simply don’t want to understand them.

Militant Atheism

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Father Jonathan Morris is first and foremost a blathering idiot. He drools as he speaks and shits his pants while trying to make sure the world still makes sense as he listens to the voices from outside his own head. Father Jonny,( do you think he’ll mind if I call him Jonny?), is secondly a FOX News contributor. Father Jonny ended up writing a nice little article over at the FOX news blog about activist atheists rewriting history. Now I hear lots of stories on FOX that aim to promote religious views and I’ve about had it up to here (I’m pointing to my forehead). Forget what father Jon Doe said for a minute and lets (or let me) talk about why FOX promotes the religious values and why. FOX, like the right in general, want you to think in binary terms. Good or bad. Heaven or Hell. When FOX airs a story on religion it is most often not serving the purpose of building up religion but of tearing down those who aren’t religious. Worse yet, the non religious people are always liberals. But they aren’t promoting themselves as liberals- just agnostics or atheists. If you notice, the FUCKED News network will always throw in a line about them being liberal. FOX news is telling you that you are bad if you aren’t religious. And if you aren’t religious then you are a liberal. Liberal=Bad, Bad=No religion.

I’m a little dosjointed in my thinking right now but let me broaden my subject now. Hell, I’m just gonna come right out and say what I first thought when I saw Father Buttfucker’s story. Religion is a pile of shit to be flushed down the toilet of society. If you believe, fine, I won’t take that away from you. But lets stop forcing it on people. Why don’t the atheists let the nativity scenes go up. They don’t harm anyone. And I don’t mind if someone says Merry Christmas to me. I draw the line at Intelligent Design. The idea thats basically Creationism dressed up in science clothes. No way, we’re not that stupid. Take your I.D. and go design yourselves another planet to live on. Friggin dopes.

Religion is a bunch of myths. Did you know that almost every religion ever since the dawn of man had a savior born on December 25th who was born of a virgin mother and a bunch of other “coincidences” that I can’t remember.

I don’t know. This wasn’t a well thought out blog. Its just that I haven’t posted anything relevant or interesting in a while and I’ve been losing traffic to the site. Not that I get anything from web traffic, its just that I like to feel popular.

Gay is the new black

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Before I begin my rant tonight, which is actually meant for tomorrow (I’m handing in my homework early), I would like to thank fullbodytransplant for my very first comment from a person I do not know. Visit his blog. Very interesting stuff. Love the banana. I’ve seen this blog slowly grow from 3 views a day then jump to 31 and on average I get about 15 views a day now. Not bad for my second week. But anyway, about gay being the new black:

For the longest time I thought of blacks as the only minority. We’ve all been drilled about the struggles of African-Americans in this country from slavery to civil rights and now we have a black president. We’ve come a long way. Racism does still exist but I believe it is a generational prejudice and the current generation coming up now will be able to just about squeeze it out of existence. Of course it will never completely die but I am confident that when my generation reaches 50 or 60 years of age it will be in its last throes.

Tolerance of homosexuality on the other hand may not be on the way out. Unfortunately the hard right wing of the Republican party, especially those damn evangelicals and even Catholics for that matter, seem to have had a meeting and decided that since they can’t openly hate black people anymore they need another group to demonize. Gays apparently seemed like fair game.

This election brought with it propositions in four states to make gay marriage illegal. The verbiage used on the ballots and in advertising confused voters and I believe that at least prop 8 in California wouldn’t have passed had the issue not been so confusing. And by the way do you know who funded just about all the advertising promoting prop 8? The Mormons. The people who believe their magic undees protect them from things like demons and bullets thought it would be a good use of their time to stop gay people from getting married. Forget teaching love, forgiveness, and not to judge your fellow man- the gays trumped all that. Its sickening to me that a state would amend its constitution to take away the rights of certain citizens. A constitution, state or federal, should only be changed to give more freedoms to all citizens.

It really disgusts me that the people behind this crap are the people who are supposed to be teaching love. But religious nuts are stupid. I’m prejudiced against bible thumpers. Sorry, but if you think evolution is wrong and the development of life on earth is better explained by simply saying “God did it” (which is creationism in a nutshell) then you should get a handicap sticker for your car- because you’re retarded.

Fun fact: when a species begins to overpopulate an area it either dies because food or water supplies diminish or turns gay. Yes, there are gay animals. Its natural, normal, and nothing to be ashamed of. No matter what Bill O’Crazy says there is no homosexual agenda. I was born straight. I can watch the gay/lesbian channel all day and still be straight at the end of the day. How about gays who watch straight TV (which is basically all TV) all day? Do they get influenced by the straight agenda? Apparently not. Because it was never a choice. Gays are people just like you and me and because they are facing such prejudice these days I think Gay is the new black.

If by now you are still undecided you must have had brain damage at some point or a hemispherectomy. Today should be a good day. It should be the beginning of a new era in American history. it should be the end of the embarrassment of the Bush years and a time when we restore our seat of influece and become a model for which all other countries strive to be like. Dont forget to vote Barack!

On a lighter note, I applied for and got my official Porn ID in the mail today. Now I’m officially licensed to pound roast beef for money.
