Palin’s Daughter Gives Birth to a Beautiful Unwanted Child

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Its always the people who shouldn’t procreate who are against abortion and women’s rights. Palin’s daughter has now given birth to a beautiful clean slate that will undoubtedly be indoctrinated into the conservative movement.

What will the boy be called? Will she follow in her mother’s footsteps and give him some random off the wall name? How about Mistake? Mistake Palin. That has a ring to it. I know, I’m being cruel. I do feel sorry for the daughter. Listening to that nails-on-a-chalkboard like voice of her mother’s must be awful. What’s worse is the father of the child. Have you seen his MySpace? I think they took it down now but its basically your typical high school idiot jock mixed with some stereotypical hillbilly flavor. The guy has balls for brains.

I hope Willow’s kid turns out gay. It would serve them right. Try to tell us its a choice then!

I wonder who payed for the hospital? I bet you anything Palin charged it to the state like she does with anything from wiping her ass to living in her own home.

Thats all. I’m done. I have no more insults for the Palin family.

The Smelly Carcass of (all) Religion(s)

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Why do I call it a carcass? Because I think its dead. I think that religion is beginning to be replaced by spirituality. What’s the difference? Well religion is more like a club that you get initiated into. Some ancient dudes took spirituality from the people, organized it into a set of rules and rituals, then put themselves in charge and passed down its leadership from generation to generation. If you wanted to have power over people you wouldn’t become a politician. You would become a priest. So you join the club, get initiated, then you meet every Sunday and sometimes on special days that aren’t Sunday but are even more special than Sunday. You do everything as a group. You listen to what the man performing the weekly ritual tells you. Sometimes he tells you what to think. He might say “Abortion is wrong because thats how I interpreted such and such line from my 2000 year old book written by people looking to serve their own agenda just as I am today”. Well, maybe he’s not that blunt about it but you know Thats what he means.

Now spirituality is not something created by man. Its harder to grasp. Its different for everyone but the same in that everyone can be in touch with their own spirituality if they wanted and if you have a conscience or instincs (I hope to hell you have both or your a poorly put together person) then you can be spiritual. Spirituality is about acknowledging imperfection and seeing the beauty in it. Its about understanding that there is something out there greater than ourselves. A spiritual person does the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing, not because he or she is afraid of going to hell. Spiritual people don’t have an infantile image of god as a man or being of any kind really, that is on a cloud watching what we do. To the spiritual person God is a force like a wind that blows down a tree or the electricity running my computer. Spiritual people acknowledge and more often are more aware that they and every other person ARE God. Now I won’t explain that last statement that everyone is God because its a perfect example of the difference between religion and spirituality. Those who are spiritual will understand what I mean and those who are deeply religious will believe that I am arrogant and actually believe that I have godlike powers.

I’ve always had a distaste for religion. I’ve always felt it was disingenuous. My father always told me that its always the ones who are in church every week giving the most to the collection plate and playing the role of the perfect christian that are the biggest hypocrites of all. And I saw exactly what he was talking about when something was revealed about one of those people he was talking about. What she did was not a very christian thing to do. I know its bad for the argument not to explain what happened but I don’t care I just don’t want to say what happened.

Religion is dangerous. It teaches people to simplify life into black and white terms. Its been 2000 years since Jesus. His teachings are timeless but to dig into specific details of the bible and say that what you read is proof positive that something is wrong or right is ludicrous. We’ve grown so much as humans since then and some of us are trying to hold us back with their ancient book and their newfound 2000 year old mindset. I hope some of these people move on over to the side of spirituality. For the spiritual person there is room for faith AND knowledge. You can believe in God and you don’t have to reconcile science and your faith with ridiculous pseudo-science like creationism.

You CAN keep your faith and you don’t have to believe that dinosaurs were here 4000 years ago. I mean c’mon. Some of the things these people say are… well there’s just no word for how retarded it is.

Palin is retarded

Why does Sarah Palin bring her children everywhere she goes?

Because when she leaves them home they get pregnant! (Budum CHI!)

This woman is so stupid she doesn’t know what her job description is. And despite what she says the section of the constitution that describes the role of the vice president is NOT open for interpretation. Article 1, section 3 is pretty explicit. Nothing nuanced about it.

I agree with Matt Damon that the prospect of this woman being in the white House is scary.

I must admit though, every time she opens her mouth it lifts my mood. Because she’s hilarious. Not on purpose but because she’s so clueless.

This next clip conjures up images in my head of a giant Vladimir Putin head just floating over Alaska and there’s Sarah Palin on her front lawn saying “I warned you guys. Now will you admit I really do have foreign policy experience?”.

Here the Governer explains to us that Alaska is not a foreign country… then gets tackled by Terry Tate.

In this clip she explains her position on abortion. She says she’s “pro-life”. As if the rest of us are pro-death. Like we want to kill babies. Her position on this enrages me so much I can’t sit here and explain why she’s wrong. All I can say is that people like her are all for the “life of the child” but its alright to kill adults by lethal injection, the electric chair, or in a gas chamber. Oh no, they’re all for killing adults who are cognisant and aware of what is going on around them but aborting a fetus that won’t die a painful death, won’t even be aware it’s dying, and if it was aware would forget a millisecond later because it has the mental capacity of an earthworm is a no-no. Personally I think that once a person is aware of the fact he/she is alive it is the worst kind of torture to make them face their own mortality. To let them count down the hours they have left. That is the worst kind of knowledge. And don’t give me that bullshit about how those people deserve the death penalty because I’ll have to give you a speech about how the real world works and how sometimes abortion IS a legitimate option. I really think the only reason we’re one of the few developed countries that still has the death penalty is because prisons are big business and we have more prisoners than we do space in prison. So how do we make space? Kill some of the bastards.

And now let’s watch Sarah say some really fuckin’ weird shit at a church:

I know I’m kind of all over the place in this blog but there’s so much that upsets me about the right wing. Sarah Palin just happens to bring it all together for me. Ughh… The thing about republicans and especially the religious right that upsets me is that everything is binary. Black and white. Good and evil. But we don’t live in the simple right wing world. We live in the real world where things have some nuance. A man steals a loaf of bread. Is that wrong? He’s homeless and needs to feed his family. Is it still wrong? I’ll give you a hint. The correct answer is not “he should just get a job” or something about poor people on welfare being lazy. The correct answer is nuanced. It has about a thousand shades of gray to it.

If I had the chance to tell every right winger in the country just one thing it would be that we don’t live in simple binary land. We live in a world colored by shades of gray.

Vote Obama.
Never accept a provisional ballot- only a real one will do
Check with your county registrar before you vote. The repubs are trying to steal another election by bumping people like you and me off the voter rolls (then throw an unnecessary hissy fit over acorn).
