About the Apps
I know a few programming languages. They are running this site right now. As far as software programming goes I'm just learning C++. Right now the programs are just kind of fun command line things but as time goes by I'll end up adding programs that do something and eventually I'll add programs that do something useful.
Please note that these apps were compiled on Mac OS X 10.5.6 using Xcode and the command line utility. They should work on Windows and Mac but let me know if they don't. So far these apps have no user interface, they're just a command line window.
Useful or Fun Stuff
Bill's RSS Widget - A Dashboard Widget that serves up the site's main Political RSS feed. Widgets for the other blogs coming soon. Mac OS X only, sorry Windows losers.
C++ Apps
I've included the source code as well as the finished program in a .zip file for all these programs. This way if you want to add on to them you can or if you want to learn C++ I find the best way to do it is to take apart someone else's code.
Shipping - Calculates shipping costs based on either Kilometers or Miles and calculates a discount for shipping a certain number or pounds or kilograms.
First Assignment - My first program for class. It opens a window with lame facts about me. Its pretty boring.
The Real About Me - This is what I would have rather put in the program for my first assignment. Much funnier I think. Vulgar too - just the way I like things.
